Indoors for a Day

Wessington Springs, SD – Despite wet weather, 66 Springs-area children ages 4-12 attended morning VBS/5-Day Club during the week of June 6-10, 2022. All but one day took place at City Park, where the fresh air and open space had children running and tumbling in the grass, listening intently to teen leaders, and singing a cappella praises to the Lord. By Friday, several had made personal commitments to follow Jesus. God is good!

“Child Evangelism Fellowship did a great job of presenting the Gospel message every day to the kids,” said Pastor Mike Easter. “I’m very pleased to have partnered with them in presenting VBS this year.”

Immanuel Baptist Church coordinated this year’s program, with volunteer help from several churches in the area. It was the first time partnering with Child Evangelism Fellowship, which brought a team of five well-trained student leaders and two program coordinators based in Huron, South Dakota. Many thanks go to everyone who supported this year’s VBS/Club through snack donations and time. Kids also appreciated use of the United Methodist Church basement when the first day was rained out.
